Louisville-based microwave and radio frequency systems manufacturer, Thermex-Thermatron, is among the ranks of businesses deemed essential to the fight against COVID-19. In support of state efforts to maintain critical operations, the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) is identifying industries that are of key importance. As a business in the medical manufacturing supply chain, Thermex-Thermatron is honored to do its part by continuing to provide necessary RF equipment and support to medical manufacturers across the United States.
CISA’s list of “Critical Infrastructure Workers” includes those that support industries including but not limited to “medical and healthcare, telecommunications, information technology systems, defense, food and agriculture, transportation and logistics, energy, water and wastewater, law enforcement, and public works,” according to a letter from CISA Director Christopher C. Krebs. As an RF welding equipment provider for numerous large medical product manufacturing companies, Thermex-Thermatron provides an enormous service to healthcare across the globe.
In a statement from Ray Lund, Thermex-Thermatron President and CEO, he underscores that “Thermex-Thermatron Systems has been notified by several of its global manufacturing customers that we are critical to their supply chains in the fight against coronavirus.” The radio frequency medical manufacturing systems they provide assist in the production of medical supplies that are critical to quality treatment for those diagnosed with COVID-19. “As these medical manufacturers ramp up their production of medical supplies like blood bags, IV bags, blood pressure cuffs, and other medical bags, Thermex is supporting their efforts by keeping our production facility open,” says Lund.
As our national, state, and local communities unite in collective efforts to combat our invisible enemy, Thermex-Thermatron is honored to do its part. “Thermex and our employees are proud to step up in the fight against COVID-19,” says Lund.
