Teens Stuck at Home Due to COVID-19 Can Learn Animation to Languages
SEATTLE (PRWEB) MARCH 22, 2020
Not-for-profit STEM+Arts education program iUrbanTeen is running its online learning series, MindStream, from Monday, March 23, 2020, to Friday, June 10, 2020 or perhaps longer. iUrbanTeen primarily built the content for its youth of color students in Seattle, Portland, Oakland, Los Angeles, Houston, and Dallas. However, the nationally recognized organization now invites all teens nationwide to attend free online classes on MindStream while they remain homebound due to COVID-19.
“School closures due to COVID-19 has turned life upside down not only for iUrban Teen’s youth of color but teens everywhere,” said iUrbanTeen founder, Deena Pierott. “We firmly believe that learning should never stop for anyone. It’s why we provide all teens stuck at home with the opportunity to continue learning in an interactive and engaging online experience. Our exclusive online learning series, MindStream, offers a wide variety of educational content, including animation, anthropology, entrepreneurship, science, languages like Spanish, French, or Arabic, and more. Best of all, our classes are free for everyone.”
Thanks to the generous support of corporate funders Nike, NWEA, Genentech, AT&T and Boeing, iUrbanTeen was able to develop its own online learning platform and provide unique classes and more exciting content to be added. iUrban Teen invites teens across the country to register at http://iutmindstream.eventbrite.com.
