Zambo City adopts BOSS to ease business registration
ZAMBOANGA CITY, Dec. 30 (PNA) — The Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) intended to ease business registration process would be in full swing starting January 3, 2017.
City Licensing Officer Benjie Barredo said BOSS would be located at the Centro Latino in Paseo del Mar from January 3 – 20 next year.
Barredo said the one stop shop will be opened from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
Barredo said the agencies involved in the process conducted a dry run Wednesday to determine kinks and bottlenecks.
Mandated under Executive Order 225-2016, Barredo said the BOSS would be based on the business permit and licensing system (BPLS) reform standards to further streamline the business registration and renewal process in compliance with the new set of service criteria in processing business permits and licenses.
He said they expect to renew more than 9,000 business permits and issue some 2,000 new permits.
Barredo said they would adopt the two-step process in the forthcoming business registration period to effectively reduce the processing time to at least two hours for renewal of business permit and at least within the day for new business application. (PNA)
