Cranberry Peak to deliver a clinical decision support service to Skagit Radiology for advanced imaging order appropriateness consultation
CAMBRIDGE, MASS. (PRWEB) NOVEMBER 25, 2019
Skagit Radiology will implement Cranberry Peak’s ezCDS, clinical decision support service. Referring providers for Skagit’s imaging center locations in the states of Washington and Alaska will be able to use ezCDS to consult the appropriateness of advanced imaging orders.
“In line with our focus on providing excellence in diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology, quality care for our patients and exceptional experience for our referring physicians, we look forward to working with Cranberry Peak’s team to implement their clinical decision support service,“ said Mark Tournie, Chief Administrative Officer at Skagit Radiology. ‘We are excited about Cranberry Peak’s innovative product, its flexible integration approach, and both by Cranberry Peak’s focus on user experience and on customers.”
ezCDS is a CMS qualified clinical decision support mechanism (CDSM) for the Appropriate Use Criteria Program (AUC), supporting the implementation of Protecting Access to Medicare Act of 2014 (PAMA). Specifically, under this program, ordering physicians will be required to consult a CDSM for advanced diagnostic imaging orders. In addition to facilitating evidence based medicine and standards of care at the point of care, ezCDS is also transforming user experience in healthcare, aiming at reducing physician burnout; by introducing the first AI digital assistant serving ordering physicians, with voice and conversational interface. With state of the art FHIR RESTful APIs and CDS Hooks, ezCDS enables an effective interoperability approach, supporting multiple workflow scenarios.
“We are thrilled to work with the Skagit Radiology team,” said Neculai Archip, PhD, MBA, the Founder and CEO of Cranberry Peak. “We are impressed by the forward-thinking Skagit team, and by their focus on adopting modern technology to effectively support healthcare delivery. Imaging centers such as Skagit Radiology have the opportunity to create benchmarks for operational efficiency and clinical care,“ Dr. Archip goes on to say.
Cranberry Peak will be attending the 2019 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Annual Meeting, scheduled for Dec. 1-6, 2019 in Chicago, Illinois. Visit Cranberry Peak at booth #8103 to learn more about its solutions.
