Friends of Sheba Medical Center, Tel HaShomer invites members of the media to attend its annual Gala in Beverly Hills on Sunday, November 3rd honoring U.S. Ambassador Jamie D. McCourt for her humanitarian efforts and Ruth and Michel Steinberger for their 30 years of service to Friends of Sheba Medical Center.

Friends of Sheba Medical Center, Tel HaShomer and gala chairs Patti and Steve Soboroff and Shoshana and Parham Zar invite members of the media to attend Friends of Sheba Medical Center’s Annual Gala on Sunday, November 3rd at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. 800 guests are expected to be in attendance to celebrate Sheba Medical Center as one of the top 10 hospitals in the world, ranked by Newsweek.
Dr. Talia Golan, Medical Director of Sheba’s Pancreatic Cancer Program, will serve as the gala’s keynote speaker. Her talk will focus on her breakthrough pancreatic cancer treatment that made international news this summer. Dr. Golan was recently named one of the 50 most influential women in Israel by Forbes Israel.
Yoav Hadas, a patient in Dr. Golan’s pancreatic cancer clinical trial who is now in full remission, will also be in attendance. To learn more about Yoav’s incredible story, please click here.
In addition, the gala will honor Ambassador Jamie D. McCourt for her continued support of Israel and the Jewish community, Ruth and Michel Steinberger for their thirty years of commitment to Sheba Medical Center, and Mimi Paley and Evan Paley as committed members of Sheba 2.0.
“We chose the theme ‘Humanity Heals Humanity’ because Sheba Medical Center in Israel will do everything in its power, at all times, to provide healing and peace for anyone in the world, no matter their color or creed,” said Friends of Sheba Medical Center Executive Director Molly Soboroff. “It is a call to action, to continue to build bridges to peace through medicine and to provide humanitarian aid to those in need worldwide.”
Sheba Medical Center was recently recognized by Newsweek Magazine as one of the top ten hospitals in the world.
