Mobile Device Capture and Cloud Storage Acquisition Options Expand Access to Digital Forensic Evidence
CHATSWORTH, CALIF. (PRWEB) FEBRUARY 19, 2020
Logicube® Inc., a global leader in digital forensic imaging technology, has announced two new software subscription options for the company’s premier forensic imaging solution, Falcon®-NEO.
The Mobile Device Capture option allows users to quickly capture potential evidence data from iOS and Android mobile devices. The Cloud Storage Acquisition option acquires digital evidence from cloud-based drives, including Google Drive and Dropbox. The options are sold as renewable, annual software subscriptions.
“We are excited to add these new options to our ground-breaking forensic imager, Falcon-NEO,” commented Farid Emrani, President and CEO of Logicube. “The Falcon-NEO is the only forensic imager on the market that has the capability to capture data from hard drives, external storage devices, network repositories, and now both mobile devices and cloud drives. This versatility, all in a single device, along with unmatched performance and advanced features catapults the Falcon-NEO to the top of the list of must-have imaging tools for digital forensic investigators, “continued Emrani.
The Cloud Storage Acquisition option will allow investigators to acquire all files stored in Google Drive and Dropbox. Support for other cloud-based drives may be added in the future. The option, used with Falcon-NEO’s File to File imaging mode, allows users to browse files, use filters or keyword search function to select and acquire the specific files needed. Files can be captured to any hard drive or network repository connected to the Falcon-NEO.
The Mobile Device Capture option easily captures evidence data from mobile devices including call logs, iMessages, SMS, MMS, photos, videos, contacts, activity, website history and Wi-Fi settings. Deleted SMS, iMessages, photos, WhatsApp and contacts can also be captured. The option supports iOS (up to version 13.3) and Android (4.0 to 10) phones and tablets. The software will perform an iOS backup for passkey unlocked iOS devices and perform a physical acquisition for rooted Android devices and a logical acquisition of contacts, call logs, SMS and calendar data for non-rooted Android devices.
“Forensic investigators are faced with a staggering number of sources for potential digital evidence. Whether it is in the field or in the lab, they need to be prepared with the right solution to quickly capture evidence data from any source they encounter. The Falcon-NEO has been designed to streamline the evidence collection process and meet the technological challenges faced by law enforcement, government and corporate security investigators, now and in the future,” commented Mr. Emrani.
The Forensic Falcon-NEO will be featured in Logicube’s booth at the San Diego Techno Security & Digital Forensics Conference 2020, to be held March 9-11 at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines in San Diego, CA.
