NASA’s chief scientist will speak to students, parents, and other science enthusiasts on a broad range of science topics at Blink on Thursday, March 5.
SEATTLE (PRWEB) FEBRUARY 27, 2020
User experience research, strategy, and design firm Blink is pleased to announce that Blink CEO Karen Clark Cole will interview NASA’s chief scientist, Dr. Jim Green, onstage on Thursday, March 5, 2020, in Blink’s downtown Seattle studio.
This is a rare opportunity for students, parents, and science enthusiasts to hear directly from Dr. Green on a range of topics, including Jupiter’s gravitational pull on asteroids, the search for life, “weird science,” new North Pole trade routes, diverting asteroid Bennu, exoplanets, and the responsibility that comes with spending billions of taxpayer dollars. Doors will open at 4 p.m., and the interview will begin at 4:30 p.m.
In conjunction with the event, Blink is hosting an “art inspired by science”-themed gallery show for students. The firm invites students interested in participating to submit artwork by March 2. Dr. Green will present awards to the top five submissions, chosen by Blink judges.
“I am so thrilled to welcome Dr. Green to our studio for this event,” Clark Cole says. “At Blink, we combine science and design every day, and it’s fun to create an event that celebrates both the left and the right brain.”
Earlier that day, Dr. Green will also speak at ConveyUX, Blink’s UX conference, which will feature a case study for the “Web Modernization” project the firm is working on for NASA.gov.
This event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP early, as space is limited.
