Local College’s first-time accelerated BSN test takers post 92.3% pass rate

Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences, the area’s preeminent institution for the health care field, today announced a 92.3% pass rate for its first-time accelerated Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) test takers of the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for 2019, surpassing the national average of 89.41%.
The 92.03% pass rate on the national professional licensure exam for nurses creates a high-level benchmark for future accelerated BSN students to strive for and surpass.
“We are thrilled, but not surprised, to see such a high benchmark created for our accelerated BSN program,” said Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences Dean of Nursing Dr. Cheryl Grab. “To continue seeing success from our students validates and is a direct reflection of the extensive efforts of our faculty and staff to provide an unparalleled education for our students.”
Students at the Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences have the option to accelerate their education through the region’s only Three-Year BSN program. The College’s rigorous curriculum prepares students for a myriad of health care settings, immersing them in a unique theoretical learning environment where collaboration between disciplines mimics that of a hospital and fosters a holistic understanding of how each professional and department works with one another.
“With our accelerated program, we ensure our students are fully prepared to enter the workforce as qualified and competent nurses,” said Dr. Kimberly Johnston, Executive Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs. “As we receive the first NCLEX scores from this graduating class, we feel we have truly prepared these students to not only be ready, but to be leaders in their industry.”
The program allows students to accelerate their path into the nursing field, entering the workforce sooner and helping to close the nursing gap.
The College was recently recognized by The Best Schools for its online RN to BSN program, ranking 15 out of 50 nationwide on the “Best Online Bachelor’s Nursing Program” list.
