PNP-CIDG seizes PHP20-M shabu, nabs 4 suspects
MANILA, Dec. 28 (PNA) — The Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) has seized PHP20-million worth of suspected shabu and arrested four suspects.
The seizure was made after police operatives intercepted an alleged carnapped Toyota Altis along Zone 3, Barangay Impalutao, Impasugong, Bukidnon on Tuesday afternoon wherein four individuals were arrested and identified as Nahar Apam, Sohud Salik, Tho Tha and Johari Akmad.
In his report to CIDG Acting Director Chief Supt. Roel Obusan, Regional Chief of 10RCIDG Supt. Tom Tuzon said the suspected shabu were packed into 12 cellophanes with a total weight of two kilos and 225 grams.
The authorities were also able to confiscate a caliber .45 pistol, magazine, several ammunition, cash amounting to PHP1,450 believed to be from illegal drugs proceeds, a Samsung tablet and a cellular phone.
Cases for violations of Republic Act No. 9165, or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002”, and RA No. 10591, or the “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Law”, were filed against the suspects. (PNA)
