Ripple Science, a SaaS company accelerating clinical research has partnered with Uptown Research Institute (URI), a contract clinical research site in Chicago, IL, to enhance their participant recruitment and tracking program. URI, a leader in clinical trials, was formerly tracking recruitment efforts, patient screening, and their participant registry using a number of different systems.
URI was interested in creating a centralized, living database to easily and efficiently understand the efficacy of their recruitment efforts and strengthen how they track and maintain study participant relationships during study participation. Ripple enables sites to build and maintain a registry of past participants to facilitate recruitment of previously screened participants. URI’s Chief Operating Officer, Diane Cohen, JD, shared why they chose Ripple, “We were looking for something that would track our patients, and provide data analytics, the same way we do. We want to understand the impact of our spend on different source efforts. Other tools simply replicated case report forms and didn’t understand the clinical side. It seemed like double the work. URI’s Office Manager, Vanessa Hernandez, worked closely with the Ripple Science team to configure the platform to meet URI’s needs. Hernandez finds Ripple easy to use and implement, “I can already teach other people how to use Ripple. I trained someone yesterday and they are already up and running.”
Ripple Science CEO, Peter Falzon, is pleased Ripple will help operationalize URI’s research process: “URI is known for providing access to novel treatments for chronic mental health disorders and those treatments will be accelerated using Ripple as the foundation for patient recruitment.”
