Wearing of mask pati sa loob ng bahay? Unreasonable infringement upon rights
WEAK CONTACT TRACING MAKES FOR UNCONVINCING DOH, DILG PLEA TO WEAR FACE MASKS AT HOME
Hindi ako kumbinsido sa dahilan ng DOH at DILG na ayon sa kanilang datos karamihan sa nahahawahan ay mga kasama sa bahay kaya’t kailangan daw mag-mask pati sa loob ng bahay.
Dahil mahina ang COVID contact tracing, may kahinaan o weakness ang datos ng DOH at DILG dahil ang nasasama lang sa kanilang contact tracing puro lamang mga kasama sa bahay ng nag-positive. Hindi nila nabibilang ang mga nahawahan ng mga kasama sa bahay habang sila nag-commute, bumiyahe, nasa trabaho, palengke, botika, o nasa labas ng bahay.
Aside from the COVID data weakness because of weak contact tracing, it would be extremely difficult to convince household members to wear face masks inside their homes because they would consider it an unreasonable infringement upon their rights.
To borrow from a well-known fable, let us not be like the wind huffing and puffing to force people to heed our advice. Instead, let us be like the sun shining bright, warm, and hot to make people follow our guidance.
Baka naman pwedeng mag-suggest ang DOH at DILG ng mga easy-to-do na decontamination procedure para sa mga nagtatrabaho bago sila pumasok sa loob ng kani-kanilang bahay.
What is key here is that the virus comes from outside homes, so let us reduce the risk of COVID entering homes. Immediately remove and soak in soaped water all clothes worn at work. Sanitize hands and doorknobs before entering the house. Before entering the house or before, take a bath with soap and shampoo. If there is no bathing area just outside the house, then go straight to the bathroom to take a bath before sitting on any furniture or having close contact with household members inside the house. This is the decontamination process any family can do. (END)
