Aguirre wants DoJ offices cleared of ‘personal’ appliances

MANILA, Dec. 30 (PNA) — To reduce unnecessary monthly expenses of the agency, Department of Justice (DoJ) Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II issued a memorandum order to imposed strict security measures against the use of appliances.

Aguirre said he ordered the department’s Supplies Division to make rounds of the DOJ offices and require the employees to remove the unnecessary appliances — such as refrigerator, microwave oven, oven toasters, television, rice cookers, coffee makers — and take them home or else these will be confiscated.

He issued the order to reduce the PHP1.2-million monthly electricity expenses of the department. (PNA)
