CME Outfitters Receives Certification by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council

The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) has certified CME Outfitters as a Women Owned Small Business and a Women’s Business Enterprise

CME Outfitters (CMEO), a leading accredited provider of continuing medical education, is proud to announce national recertification as a Women’s Business Enterprise and a Women Owned Small Business by the Women Presidents’ Educational Organization-DC, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

“CME Outfitters is committed to promoting diversity throughout our organization, and certification from WBENC as a woman-owned business underscores that dedication,” said Jan Perez, managing partner of CME Outfitters.

WBENC’s national standard of certification is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business and site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women.

By including women-owned businesses among their suppliers, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier diversity programs.

CME Outfitters was founded in 2002 by managing partners, Jan Perez and Sharon Tordoff and, over the last 17 years, has delivered innovative evidence-based educational activities to thousands of clinicians each year and offers expert accreditation and outcome services for non-accredited organizations.

“The healthcare landscape has changed so much since our founding, and as the needs of our learners – and their patients – evolve, we’ll continue to deliver innovative, insightful and top-notch education and faculty to help practicing clinicians improve the care of their patients,” said Sharon Tordoff, managing partner of CME Outfitters.
