Cranberry Peak announces strategic partnership to bring ezCDS clinical decision support (CDS) tool to healthcare providers

Healthcare IT company Novarad to offer Cranberry Peak solution as part of its diagnostic suite

Cranberry Peak, a leading company in AI, conversational interfaces and clinical decision support (CDS) technology announced today that it has formed a strategic partnership with healthcare IT company Novarad. Cranberry Peak’s CDS tool, ezCDS will integrate with Novarad’s Ncompass Enterprise Imaging® system and its radiology information system, Nova RIS.

ezCDS is a CMS-qualified clinical decision support mechanism (CDSM) for the Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC) Program, supporting the implementation of Protecting Access to Medicare Act of 2014 (PAMA). Specifically, under this program, ordering physicians will be required to consult a CDSM for advanced diagnostic imaging orders. In addition to facilitating evidence-based medicine and standards of care at the point of care, ezCDS is also transforming user experience in healthcare and reducing physician burnout by introducing the first AI digital assistant serving ordering physicians, with voice and conversational interface.

“Medical reimbursement is one of the most critical issues facing healthcare providers today, and a positive user experience in capturing them is key to both a successful practice and satisfied physicians,” said David GrandPre, Director of Product at Novarad. “We chose to partner with Cranberry Peak because their CMS-certified product ezCDS shines in that respect. By combining our Ncompass Enterprise Imaging system with Cranberry Peak’s service, we aim to offer a simple solution that enables healthcare delivery organizations to meet the appropriate use criteria that will be required by CMS for advanced imaging procedures starting in 2020.”

“We have been working with the Novarad team for a while, and we are impressed by their commitment to customer success, innovation, and technology. These shared values by our two companies, will enable a successful partnership with the ultimate goal of effectively serving healthcare delivery organizations,” said Neculai Archip, PhD, MBA, the Founder and CEO of Cranberry Peak.

Cranberry Peak and Novarad will be attending the 2019 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Annual Meeting, scheduled for Dec. 1-6, 2019 in Chicago, Illinois. Visit Cranberry Peak at booth #8103 and Novarad at booth # 6110 to learn more about this new partnership and how it can help you meet both current and future healthcare demands.
