BACOLOD CITY, Dec. 30 (PNA) — For the ninth consecutive year, Bago City in Negros Occidental is holding the “Lights of Bago” fireworks show on January 1 to show support to the “Iwas Paputok” campaign of the Department of Health (DOH).
This year’s theme of the DOH advocacy is “Iwas Paputok, Fireworks Display ang Patok! Makiisa sa Fireworks Display sa inyong Lugar.”
Mayor Nicholas Yulo will showcase with his constituents in presenting the Lights of Bago, a grand musical fireworks display, for a safe celebration of the holidays through the conduct of community fireworks display.
The City of Bago said the staging of the annual Lights of Bago has led to a significant decrease in the incidence of firecrackers-related injuries in the southern Negros city.
