Tranzend Introduces Ultra Coat, a New Technologically-Advanced and Self-Heating Coat

Tranzend launches Ultra Coat on Kickstarter today. Ultra Coat is an ethically upcycled coat made out of coffee grounds and plastic bottles. Ultra Coat has coil-free, tri-zone heating panels that ensure even heat distribution powered by most rechargeable USB power banks.

With the click of a button, the embedded carbon-fiber panels heat the jacket within seconds, keeping the wearer warm and comfortable. The coil-free heating is evenly distributed without hotspots. The right-hand pocket houses the wearer’s separate power bank to run the heating system for hours, and is controlled by a smart temperature controller with high, medium, and low settings. Almost like a personal climate control system for the wearer, Ultra Coat withstands temperatures ranging from 0°F to 70°F (-17°C to 20°C).

“We want to change the way people dress. We want to give them a coat for a variety of different occasions – commuting to work, being active outdoors in the cold, date nights, etc.,” said William Chen, Founder of Tranzend. “We want people to continue to reach for Ultra Coat, day in and day out. Our goal is for this to be a functional everyday coat.”

Ultra Coat’s sleek, stylish design makes it the perfect match for any and all occasions. The coat’s slim and compact layer of synthetic down thermal insulation gives all of the warmth without the bulk. Laser-cut microfiber pockets and extra pockets next to the coat’s adjustable cuffs keep wearers’ hands warm and their valuables secure. A stitched-in interior snow skirt keeps snow from getting into the coat when wearers are active in extreme climates.

Ultra Coat also comes equipped with Tranzend’s signature magnetic, detachable hood, which attaches quickly to keep out rain or snow. Additionally, Ultra Coat keeps headphones close via a magnetic fastener at the end of the collar so earbuds stay in place and are easily accessible when needed.

Ultra Coat is an ethically-produced coat with maximum weatherproofing – it is waterproof, water-repellent and UV-protected. Laser-cut pockets and every sewing line are seam-sealed to increase durability and security of the garment. The coat is ultra-stretch, anti-stain and wrinkle-free so it keeps wearers looking sharp. Ultra Coat is machine washable and can tumble dry, but its odor-resistant, breathable fabric keeps it fresh-smelling and comfortable.

Ultra Coat is now available to pre-order on Kickstarter starting at $299. Available in a variety of sizes, backers can choose from S to 3XL. For more information about the campaign or to place a pre-order, visit pr.go2.fund/tranzendcoat.
