Diversified Technologies’ New Solid-State Tryratron Replacement for Pulse Forming Networks Lasts 25 Plus Years

A new line of patented solid-state replacements for legacy thyratrons that eliminates the need for annual thyratron replacements has been introduced by Diversified Technologies, Inc.

Diversified Technologies, Inc. has introduced a line of patented solid-state replacements for legacy thyratrons that eliminates the need for annual thyratron replacements.

DTI Thyratron Replacements are built from modular solid-state switches that are available in voltages from 1 kV to 100 kV, with peak current up to 10 kA which rises to its peak value in under 2 microseconds. Eliminating the need for annual thyratron replacements in pulse forming networks, these highly reliable devices feature peak-to-peak jitter less than 1.5 ns.

Suitable for replacing a variety of sizes of legacy thyratron assemblies in the field, DTI Thyratron Replacements will fit into existing cabinets with minimum modification. Based on the firm’s IGBT technology which has been incorporated into over 500 systems operating worldwide for many years, these replacements have been tested to perform for over 25 years.

The DTI Thyratron Replacement switch is priced from $10,000 to $150,000 depending upon specifications. Price quotations are available on request.
